Reported about 1 year ago

Huang Guanzhi stars in 'Listening to the Waves', Taiwan's first WWII suspense series set to premiere on August 17th on Public Television and Hami Video. The series features intense war scenes where actors must dodge shelling and even hand-dig underground, but Huang expressed excitement instead of hardship, calling the opportunity precious. The director and crew spent millions to recreate a WWII prisoner-of-war camp in Taiwan after extensive research in Malaysia, Japan, Australia, the USA, and Taiwan, aiming to shed light on a forgotten aspect of WWII history. Huang, along with other leads, even learned Japanese for their roles. Additionally, a behind-the-scenes look at the Hami Video series 'Plastic Flowers' revealed intimate scenes between Wu Kang-jen and Li Mu, with both actors describing their characters' relationship as a fantastic journey.
