Huang Jen queries on the acquisition of F-16V from the US | Minister Kao Lihsiu responds that deliveries will be completed by the end of the year

At the Legislative Yuan's Foreign Affairs and National Defense Committee, KMT legislator Huang Jen questioned Defense Minister Kao Lihsiu about the delay in the acquisition of 1700 AGM-154 Joint Standoff Weapons (JSOW) and 100 launch systems from the US. Kao Lihsiu mentioned that after initial manufacturing challenges were resolved, all deliveries would be completed by the end of the year. The discussion also touched on the the plan to enhance Taiwan's air and sea defense capabilities, staffing arrangements after project completion, and concerns regarding talent retention and intellectual property. Additionally, updates were provided on the order of 66 F-16V fighter jets and AGM-154 missiles from the US, showcasing the progress and deadlines for these acquisitions.
