Following the divorce of actress Huang Jiaqian from her Canadian ex-husband, Jacky Hsu, fellow actress Li Yuru has been publicly insulting Hsu on social media, calling him derogatory names. Hsu has since filed a public insult lawsuit against Li, who made several derogatory posts about him on Facebook, describing him in dehumanizing terms. The Taipei District Prosecutor's Office has now indicted Li for public insult, citing that her comments are harmful to Hsu's reputation and exceed what can typically be tolerated by society.
