Huang Kuo-chang, the convener of the Legislative Yuan caucus of the People's Party, along with legislator Chang Chichi-kai, held a press conference titled 'The Ministry of Agriculture's Constant Lies and Concealment, Shortage of 6 Million Eggs.' Huang revealed that the Ministry of Agriculture's egg procurement project last year involved 5 major lies and 3 concealment methods. He accused a company with a capital of only 500,000 NT dollars of securing a 700 million NT dollar contract, importing eggs from Japan without a signed procurement contract and creating discrepancies of around 500 to 600 million eggs. The Ministry continues to provide unclear information and evade accountability, leading to criticism of Taiwan's democratic governance practices.
