Legislator Huang Kuo-Chang of the Taiwan People's Party revealed during an anti-corruption event in Taipei that the Livestock Association purchased 25 million eggs from a company without a contract. He announced plans to hold a press conference next Monday with legislator Chang Ching-Chai to expose how many lies and scandals the Ministry of Agriculture has covered up. Huang emphasized the importance of parliamentary reform in light of various scandals during the Democratic Progressive Party's 8-year rule, such as losses in government investments and suspicious egg procurement practices. He expressed disappointment in only being able to uncover so much corruption and promised to initiate a parliamentary hearing investigation once President Lai Ching-te introduces the necessary legislative reform.
