Reported 11 months ago

During an inquiry at the Transportation Committee, Kuomintang legislator Huang Ren advocated for the return of the Taichung-Taitung flight route, suggesting not only the resumption of flights but also additional flights from Taichung International Airport to Hualien and Taitung, with lowered ticket prices. This proposal aims to provide convenient transportation options for the Indigenous peoples in central Taiwan to return home, as well as promote tourism in the eastern region to help the earthquake-affected people. Huang also emphasized the need to increase international routes to Southeast Asian countries to facilitate the transportation of foreign workers and caregivers, in line with the government's New Southbound Policy.
