NVIDIA CEO Huang Renxun made a sudden visit to Taiwan to dine with bosses of Taiwanese tech companies, but did not include any interactions with top Taiwan government officials in his schedule. Premier Cho Rong-tae revealed during a legislative inquiry that there had been contact between the government and the industry, but no shared meals. Despite not dining together, National Science Council Chairman Wu Cheng-wen emphasized the importance of focusing on collaborations with NVIDIA and AMD. The discussion also raised concerns about Taiwan's loss of high-tech talent and how to address challenges from mainland China in terms of technology and culture.
