Huang Zhongming, who previously served as the head of the Tainan branch of the 'Taiwan Friends of Trust Association' last year, has been appointed as the chairman of the Institute for Information Industry during an extraordinary board meeting. The Institute is an important think tank under the Ministry of Economic Affairs and is expected to play a key role in the vision of creating an AI smart island. With a background in management and innovative technology, Huang is seen as having a challenging task ahead in promoting sovereign AI and enhancing information security in Taiwan.
