The Military Academy of Huangpu will celebrate its 100th anniversary on June 16th, with female cadets forming a marching unit for the first time, marching alongside male cadets. However, newly appointed Minister of National Defense Gu Li-Xiong announced that the military will no longer perform the traditional march in step, replacing it with synchronized marching. This change may signal the end of the military's march training tradition. The anniversary celebration will showcase the evolution of military uniforms over four periods: Huangpu, Nanjing, Chengdu, and Fengshan. Notably, the event will include an impressive ceremony involving 18 ground force units formed by students from various military academies, creating a memorable display of military splendor.
