Reported about 1 year ago

According to the 2023 SME White Paper, Taiwan has over 1.63 million small and medium-sized enterprises, accounting for over 98% of all businesses and contributing nearly 60% of the GDP. As many as 20% of these enterprises are expected to undergo generational transitions in the next five years. In light of these challenges, Huaqiang Bank, known for its services to SMEs, recently organized events such as the 'Business Sustainability Transformation Seminar' and the 'Corporate Sustainable Wealth Inheritance Forum' on July 4th at the Regent Taipei Hotel. The forum, themed 'Crossing Generations, Creating a New Century for Enterprises,' attracted numerous entrepreneurs and industry leaders to discuss the sustainable operation and wealth inheritance of businesses, featuring notable guests like Chen Kunyao, President of Holten Wool Factory Co., Ltd., Liao Guanjie, CEO of China Glass Co., Ltd., and Hung Minghong, Managing Partner of KPMG Hung & Partners CPAs Office, who shared valuable experiences and success stories on enterprise inheritance from the perspectives of first and second-generation entrepreneurs, emphasizing not just wealth transfer but also the continuation of corporate culture and management philosophy. Participants unanimously agreed that such forums provide valuable learning and networking opportunities and help drive continuous development and innovation for Taiwanese businesses.
