Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who took over the rotating EU presidency this month, is continuing his unorthodox diplomatic approach by visiting China's President Xi Jinping in Beijing today. After a sudden visit to Moscow to meet with Russian President Putin, Orban is expected to hold talks with Xi Jinping in China. Amid tensions in Ukraine and upcoming NATO summit, Orban's actions have raised concerns among other NATO member countries. Orban's government has taken a different stance from other EU nations by strengthening ties with China, despite criticism from Western allies. The Hungarian Foreign Minister Szijjarto is also accompanying Orban on the visit.
