In China, a husband having an extramarital affair plotted to kill his mistress of 3 years by luring her to a hotel and poisoning her drink, fearing she would disrupt his family. Initially claiming the death occurred during 'adult games,' his plan was exposed by police who found evidence of the poisoning scheme on his phone. Subsequent investigations revealed the man had been in a relationship with the woman for 3 years and had planned the murder. Following a trial, he was sentenced to death with a 2-year reprieve for intentional homicide.
