In Pingtung, a husband was accused by his wife of having an affair with a female coworker, even changing the woman's messaging app alias to their daughter's nickname to deceive. The wife filed a lawsuit for infringing on marital rights and sought compensation of 500,000 NTD for emotional distress; after reviewing the conversation records, the judge ruled the mistress to pay 30,000 NTD. The incident began in September 2023, with the husband showing indifference towards the family and living apart. Despite forgiving him once, the husband continued the affair with affectionate messages labeled as 'miss you, wife' and 'cannot handle thoughts of you.' The wife, who saw the messages, filed for compensation, leading to the court's decision.
