On July 4, 2024, at 2:20 am, according to SET News, the Kaohsiung Criminal Investigation Brigade announced the bust of a Vietnamese gambling website that set up a money laundering house in Taiwan, handling 5.1 billion New Taiwan Dollars in just six months, arresting 12 suspects. A 3-year-old Labrador retriever named 'Wafer' helped find two missing phones for the police at the scene, known as Taiwan's only electronic product detection dog. The group had decentralized its locations and minimized entries to avoid detection, but after a thorough investigation and with the help of the electronic detection dog, the police were able to uncover crucial evidence and seize all equipment used for money laundering, uprooting the group entirely.
