According to a recent report, the Taipei City Environmental Protection Bureau is advising residents to be mindful of low-frequency noise disturbances caused by air conditioners, which are the most common source of complaints during the summer months. To assist with locating and addressing these disturbances, residents are encouraged to listen for the characteristics of the noise, note the times it occurs, observe its location, and then provide this information to the bureau for faster resolution. The bureau also recommends checking air conditioner performance before use, opting for energy-efficient models, and keeping filters clean to reduce both noise disturbances and energy costs.
