On June 20, 2024, Prime Minister Cho Jung-tai appeared at the Legislative Yuan for questioning regarding the reconsideration case put forward by the Executive Yuan. During the session, DPP legislator Kuo Kuo-wen inquired about the possibility of a failed reconsideration and when the Executive Yuan would propose a constitutional interpretation. Cho Jung-tai mentioned that if the reconsideration did not pass smoothly, despite having to accept the Constitution, they could still seek constitutional relief. The plan was to propose the interpretation after the law takes effect, as discussed internally within the Executive Yuan.
