Iga Świątek secured her fifth career Grand Slam victory by defeating Jasmine Paolini in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1, in the 2024 French Open women's singles final. The 23-year-old Świątek, now the No. 1 ranked player in the world, has won her third consecutive French Open title, making her only the third woman in the Open Era to achieve this feat alongside Monica Seles and Justine Henin. With this win, she also becomes one of only four women, including Henin, Steffi Graf, and Chris Evert, to win the singles title at Roland Garros four times, at just 23 years old.
