A legal chess club in Tucheng, New Taipei City was found to be hiding illegal gambling activities, with 22-year-old female owner surnamed Yang advertising openly online. The club was raided by the police on June 16, resulting in the arrest of Yang and 37 customers. Evidence of illegal gambling was found in the premises, and all individuals were taken into custody. The police confiscated gambling funds, mahjong tables, surveillance cameras, and more, emphasizing the negative impact of illegal gambling on society and the need to crack down on such activities.
