In her prelude to the upcoming IMF World Economic Outlook, Georgieva emphasized the importance of mitigating uncertainty in trade policies, urging for open markets while acknowledging the negative effects of tariffs on consumers and importers. She also highlighted the need for central bank independence to manage inflation.
