Starbucks stock saw a rise following the announcement of Brian Niccol, former CEO of Chipotle, stepping in as the new CEO, succeeding Laxman Narasimhan. BTIG managing director Peter Saleh believes Niccol's extensive experience will benefit Starbucks, particularly in enhancing key areas such as operations in China and improving the loyalty program. Despite the positive outlook, Saleh acknowledges that considerable work remains to be done for a successful turnaround.
