The Federal Reserve's recent 50-basis-point rate cut presents investors with an opportunity to reassess their portfolios, according to CFRA Research's Chief Investment Strategist Sam Stovall. He noted that typically, market reactions are muted in the first month post-cut, but there may be opportunities for discounts on small and mid-cap stocks despite large-cap stocks gaining popularity. Stovall also mentioned that September and October are usually challenging months during election years, but a market uptick often follows once the election uncertainty clears.
