Notably, cases of lupus erythematosus, dubbed 'undying cancer,' have surged by 2.99 times. A recent study analyzing 3.8 million individuals, including 900,000 COVID-19 patients, found a threefold higher risk of autoimmune diseases among those infected. The study suggests a potential link between COVID-19 infection and autoimmune diseases, prompting experts to emphasize the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and managing stress to reduce the risk of autoimmune diseases post-infection.
