Taiwan has seen an increase in scam incidents, with scam groups resorting to extreme measures, such as stealing identities of celebrities to create fake accounts. Yang Xiuhui, who is focused on managing her personal skincare brand, had her name used to set up a Facebook fan page selling products. The imposter even boldly 'taught' consumers how to identify real and fake accounts, leading Yang Xiuhui to express her anger, saying 'there is really no government.' Facing these fake accounts, Yang Xiuhui has long shared ways to distinguish the real from the fake on Facebook, emphasizing her real fan page name with a blue checkmark symbol. Fans were shocked by the situation and expressed the need for caution in online purchases amidst various and exaggerated scam tactics.
