The Taiwan Food and Drug Administration announced that Taiwan Good Shepherd Food imported a batch of curry powder from Malaysia, which was found to contain residue of phosphine exceeding the pesticide limit. The company, which includes the popular product 'Vermont Curry,' had one out of three batches tested in the past half year failed to meet standards. Taiwan Good Shepherd Food emphasized that the failed test batch has been applied for destruction and is unrelated to their current products approved by the authorities. They assure consumers that the Madras Curry Powder GS product in circulation has passed inspections and is safe for use.
