New Taipei City Council Chairman Jiang Genhuang's identity has been impersonated by a man surnamed Li, who falsely claimed to be a relative of the chairman and used this identity to deceive innocent people through various means of fraud. Upon learning of this, Jiang Genhuang clarified through his office that he has no connection with Li and urged the public not to be deceived. The Xinzhuang Police Substation has initiated an investigation into the matter, with the exact number of victims still to be determined. Impersonating a chairman's relative, Li fraudulently exploited people's trust with promises of shopping and investments, prompting Jiang Genhuang to report the case to the police and assist in collecting evidence to warn the public against the scam.
