On June 20, 2024, at 11:23 pm, a fraud ring impersonating investment guru Emily tricked people into falling into an investment trap. The New Taipei City Government Police Department's Xinzhuang Precinct cracked down on a fake investment fraud case, successfully arresting 9 members of the fraud group, preventing a loss of 5.09 million NT dollars in fraudulent funds. The group used the comments section of the well-known investment guru 'Emily's' videos to lure people into joining a LINE group for 'Changxing Investment,' claiming to sell subscription stocks and deceiving them. Through undercover operations and swift arrests, the police managed to dismantle the fraud group, warning the public to be cautious of such investment scams and to report any suspicions to the authorities to safeguard their hard-earned money.
