Starting from July 1, the Environmental Protection Bureau of Changhua County raised the standards for returning full loads of garbage to the Xizhou Incineration Plant, with 7 town and city public works departments violating on the first day. This strict measure decreased the return rate significantly on the second day, though 3 public works departments had trucks sent back. Despite this improvement, clean-up crews discovered dead frog and mouse corpses hidden in familiar kitchen waste bins, highlighting the need for improved public morality. A total of 10 garbage trucks violated regulations and were sent back in 2 days due to the increased standards. The public is urged to properly separate waste to avoid such incidents.
