The government aims to enhance road safety by focusing on pedestrian-friendly traffic environments, prioritizing the improvement of 799 intersections by the end of the year. This initiative includes measures such as time-separated intersections, removal of obstacles, addition of pedestrian islands, and expanding pedestrian spaces alongside roads. Additionally, plans to advance pedestrian signals for increased safety are in progress. The Ministry of Transportation will hold regular press conferences to report on road safety statistics, demonstrating the effectiveness of the safety measures implemented throughout various counties and cities.
