Reported 8 months ago

On June 17, 2024, at 4:22 AM, Legislator Yang Chiung-ying's service office held an explanatory meeting for the improvement project of the facilities at the Tai'an Railway Cultural Park in Houli District. Built in 1937, the old Tai'an train station in Taichung City is in poor condition with damaged restroom facilities, water accumulation on the ground, environmental disorder, and lack of barrier-free facilities. In response to the increasing tourism due to the extension of the Rail Bike to Houli, Legislator Yang Chiung-ying has secured a subsidy from the Ministry of Transportation and Tourism Bureau for the improvement project, with construction scheduled to begin in October of this year and completion by September of next year. The project aims to enhance the local tourism attractiveness by creating amenities such as a sunlit public restroom, a cherry blossom forest leisure spot, environmental greening, improvement of the laundry tank waterway green corridor, construction of a barrier-free ramp, and optimization of the parking lot.
