India Introduces Legislation to Combat Hoax Bomb Threats Disrupting Airlines

The Indian government is set to implement a new law targeting individuals who make hoax bomb threats against airlines, which have recently resulted in over 120 affected flights. Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan announced plans to amend the 1982 Civil Aviation Act, enabling faster arrest and investigation of offenders, and placing them on a no-fly list. Despite some arrests, many hoax calls remain unresolved, creating significant disruptions and safety concerns for passengers.
