India’s Jindal Power Ltd. has partnered with Venezuela’s state oil company in a crude oil venture in the Orinoco Belt, marking Jindal’s first move into the oil business. This agreement comes after Jindal secured a contract to run Venezuela's largest iron-ore complex. With many foreign companies leaving Venezuela due to economic crisis and sanctions, Jindal's deal with Petroleos de Venezuela SA aims to help revive oil production and revenue in the country.
