According to a Bank of America strategist, India’s small and mid-cap stocks are expected to decline in 2025 for the first time in three years, as the government decreases spending in favor of tax breaks aimed at boosting consumption. This shift from investment-driven growth to reviving domestic demand has already seen the BSE Ltd.’s mid- and small-cap shares fall 13% this year, while larger stocks have benefited amid rising volatility.
