India is set to complete the world's longest liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) pipeline, stretching 2,800 kilometers from Kandla to Gorakhpur, by June. This $1.3 billion project will replace many trucks currently transporting fuel across the country, thereby reducing transport costs and accidents. The pipeline is expected to handle about 8.3 million tonnes of LPG annually, addressing 25% of India's demand, amid an increasing usage for cooking, supported by government subsidies. Despite delays due to the pandemic and global conflicts, this initiative is seen as a major advancement in the nation's energy infrastructure.
