Indian Oil Companies Pursue U.S. LNG Supply Deals

Indian oil companies are in discussions to purchase liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the U.S. after the recent lifting of export permit restrictions by the Trump administration. As the world's fourth largest LNG importer, India aims to increase its gas share in the energy mix to 15% by 2030. Major companies, including GAIL, Indian Oil Corp, and Bharat Petroleum, are exploring additional sources and potential stakes in U.S. LNG projects during the India Energy Week conference.
