A massive stampede occurred at an Indian Hindu religious gathering in northern India, with the death toll now reaching 121, mostly women and children. Local authorities reported that the event had an attendance of about 25,000, far exceeding the approved capacity of 80,000. The tragic incident took place in a village in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, with injuries including fractures, abrasions, and asphyxiation, leading to the demise of several victims, while thousands rushed towards a vehicle during chaos, resulting in trampling and casualties. Officials are currently investigating the whereabouts of the leader 'Surajpal' in connection to the incident.
