Inditex's Transport Emissions Surge in 2024

Reported about 12 hours ago

Inditex, the owner of Zara, reported a 10% increase in transport emissions for 2024, driven by higher air freight usage to manage clothing deliveries from Asia to Europe amidst shipping route disruptions. Their total emissions from transportation reached over 2.6 million tonnes, while the company's overall greenhouse gas emissions remained stable due to reduced emissions from product sourcing. Inditex aims to significantly cut its indirect emissions from supply chains by 2030.
