Following the overflow effect of the high tariffs imposed by the US on China, Indonesia, Southeast Asia's largest economy, is planning to levy import tariffs of up to 200% on Chinese goods to protect its industries and small businesses. The Indonesian Trade Minister, Zulkifli Hasan, stated that once the related regulations are issued, the policy will take immediate effect. This decision comes as various countries are engaging in tariff wars with China to prevent oversupply of Chinese products from affecting their domestic industries and enterprises.
