Indonesia's national data center was attacked by hackers demanding an $8 million ransom, affecting over 200 government agencies. While some services have been restored, efforts are ongoing to fix others. PT Telkom Indonesia is working with authorities to investigate and break the encryption, with the government refusing to pay the ransom. The attack, believed to be carried out by the Lockbit 3.0 ransomware, is considered the most severe in a series of cyberattacks on Indonesian organizations since 2017.
