According to a report by PTS News on July 4, 2024, at 8:06 pm, the suspects being escorted back to Taiwan were required to crouch down for identity verification and thoroughly searched by fully armed special forces personnel guarding the scene. These 11 individuals were previously arrested for fraud in Indonesia as part of cross-border cooperation between Taiwan and Indonesia to repatriate fugitives. They arrived at Taoyuan Airport at 9:15 pm that night. Investigations revealed that out of the 103 fraud suspects arrested in Bali, 102 were Taiwanese and 1 was from Hong Kong, suspected of involvement in transnational online fraud activities at a villa. Apart from the 11 fugitives, the other 91 Taiwanese suspects have also been returning to Taiwan by plane in recent days.
