According to FTNN News on July 1, 2024, a 30-year-old Indonesian woman who is a caregiver went to a gynecology clinic in Taipei's Wanhua District for a check-up. During the surgery, her blood oxygen and blood pressure dropped rapidly, leading to unstable vital signs. Despite emergency treatment and transportation to MacKay Memorial Hospital in Taipei, she could not be saved. The exact cause of death is still under investigation. The woman, who was pregnant, suddenly went into respiratory and cardiac arrest after receiving anesthesia, and despite resuscitation efforts, she passed away at the hospital.
