Indonesian Migrant Workers Coming to Taiwan! Ministry of Labor: Initial small-scale trial with no more than 1,000 people

During the review of the 'Taiwan-India Labor Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)' by the Legislative Yuan Social Welfare and Environmental Hygiene Committee, Minister of Labor, Hsu Peishan, mentioned that the mode of introducing Indonesian migrant workers will adopt a dual track system of direct hiring and intermediary. They will initially focus on conducting small-scale trials in the manufacturing industry, with the number of workers imported not exceeding 1,000. The MOU also includes promoting a 'direct hiring plan' to streamline processes, simplify documents, and expand the job contents applicable for direct hiring.
