Infocom to Make Decision on Blackstone Takeover Offer

Reported about 1 year ago

Japanese e-comics platform Infocom is yet to decide on a takeover bid from Blackstone, with the final announcement pending the completion of all disclosure documents. The reported acquisition, priced at around 6,000 yen per share totaling approximately 280 billion yen, would make it Blackstone's largest acquisition in Japan. Infocom's share price has more than doubled since news of the potential buyout surfaced, and if the deal proceeds, Infocom will go private as its current parent company, Teijin, plans to sell its entire 55% stake in a share buyback after the acquisition.
