Disney/Pixar’s 'Inside Out 2' is on track to be the first $1 billion box office hit of 2024, with a projected $96 million 2nd weekend following an impressive $31 million on its second Friday. Surpassing 'The Super Mario Bros. Movie's' previous record, the sequel is now the highest-grossing film of the year domestically and should soon achieve this globally, having crossed the $500 million mark. The film also showcases strong endurance, with a 38% drop in its second weekend – the best for a film with a $150 million-plus opening weekend. Meanwhile, 'Bad Boys: Ride or Die' and 'The Bikeriders' also perform well at the box office in third and fifth place, respectively.
