Dai Ruiyao, Chen Xinwen, Huang Huiling, Wu Qilun/Taipei report on June 12, 2024 at 4:10 pm. Insured's own expense medical insurance will no longer accept duplicate documents for claims, and this change is postponed until October 1st. The Financial Supervisory Commission announced the reform at the end of last year, returning to the principle of compensating for losses, fully adopting original document claims. The original implementation date of July 1st has been moved due to the need for a buffer period. Various insurance companies have proposed the extension to October 1st, with no retroactive effect. The scheduled July 1st policy reforms include three major new systems, encompassing the implementation of loss compensation, strengthening dividend policy disclosure, and restricting the use of accident disability levels and payment tables in disability insurance. The insurance industry is experiencing a wave of policy revisions and suspensions due to the impending changes.
