Intel Corporation is reportedly halting plans for a $25-billion factory in Israel, as per Israeli financial news website Calcalist. The U.S. chipmaker did not confirm the report but mentioned the need to adjust big projects to changing timelines. Intel emphasized its commitment to Israel despite the pause in the plant construction, pointing to the country's significance as a key global manufacturing and R&D site. The proposed Fab 38 plant in Kiryat Gat, scheduled to open in 2028, aimed to enhance Intel's global supply chain and complement its investments in Europe and the U.S., alongside its existing sites in Israel.
