Intel Needs Years to Catch Up with TSMC, Analyst Predicts

Reported 2 months ago

Analyst Matt Bryson from Wedbush Securities states that Intel's efforts to compete with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) may take two to three years to bear fruit, following the company's disappointing second-quarter earnings and a planned layoff of 15,000 workers as part of a $10 billion cost-cutting strategy. He suggests that Intel's competitive race is likely a story for 2026 or 2027.
