Intel reported its Q2 earnings, surpassing revenue expectations but missing on earnings per share due to impairment charges. The company announced a 15% workforce reduction, aiming for around 75,000 employees by year's end, and provided a positive Q3 revenue forecast of $12.6 to $13.6 billion. As a result of increased competition, including from AMD and Qualcomm, Intel has also canceled plans for factories in Germany and Poland and slowed construction in Ohio.
