On June 13, 2024, at 1:30 am, reported by Lu Sumei in Taipei, the Interior Ministry, represented by Deputy Minister Dong Jianhong and the Director of the National Land Administration Bureau Wu Xinxiu, visited Yunlin County Magistrate Zhang Lishan to explain that the National Spatial Planning Act will be officially implemented in April next year, ensuring no changes to farmers' rights. Amid requests for a 2-year delay in the enforcement of the act, discussions surrounding the delineation of agriculture development areas and the whistleblowing reward system were brought up. The ministry reiterated that farmers' rights will remain protected and that ongoing social communication efforts will continue.
