The Executive Yuan has temporarily postponed the launch of the digital ID card in 2021, and the Internal Affairs Committee of the Legislative Yuan has established a review team, but information provided by the Ministry of Internal Affairs was completely blacked-out. The Nationalist Party criticizes the Democratic Progressive Party for not daring to let the people see how tax money is being spent, questioning what they are afraid of. The Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that they have provided 87 documents related to the digital ID card as per the Legislative Yuan's exercise of authority law, with personal data being legally obscured. They emphasized compliance with government information disclosure laws. The Nationalist Party continues to criticize the DPP government's decision-making, accusing them of hiding how tax money is being spent by completely blacking out and pixelating documents.
