International Oil Prices Fall but Facing Depreciation of New Taiwan Dollar, CPC Announces Increase of Gasoline and Diesel Prices by 0.1 NTD

Reported 11 months ago

Although international oil prices have dropped recently, due to the depreciation of the New Taiwan Dollar against the U.S. Dollar, CPC announced on June 9th that starting from midnight on the 10th, the prices of gasoline and diesel would each increase by 0.1 NTD. This adjustment is to maintain prices below neighboring Asian countries. The adjustments were made under the floating oil price mechanism and absorb part of the price increase to stabilize the oil prices in a bid to lessen the burden on the public and reduce the impact on prices.
